 Meet Kinyanjui who set up a shoe and shoe accessories shop in kisii town.His shop is called Dr.Shoe it is located near capital roundabout in Kisii town.For a couple of years since he started his shop he has seen his business grow in leaps and bounds.

The shop deals with shoe repairs,leather bags,hand bags name it.He also sells dress shoes(office) mainly leather shoes.He sells shoe accessories such as soles,inner soles,gum,laces,shoe polish,brush name it.He has staff of about four that he has employed.

Over the time he has expanded to  the outskirts of Kisii.He says a lot of young people have been through his training and have since gone to be independent. 

On the challenges he experiences he cites low business since covid but this is recovering.He also says the cost of raw materials and products he uses are high.He appeals to the government and authorities to reduce it in order to promote this sector and locally made products.
